Findings

Sodium hyaluronate is safe for use in skincare at concentrations up to 2%. The ingredient showed no toxicity, allergic reactions, or cancer risk in animal studies, and decades of widespread use (especially in injectables) have confirmed it's well-tolerated by humans.
