Findings

Women who took 2.5g of specific collagen peptides daily for 8 weeks saw a 20% reduction in eye wrinkles compared to placebo, with results lasting even 4 weeks after stopping. The peptides also boosted skin's production of collagen (up 65%) and elastin (up 18%), the proteins that keep skin firm and bouncy.

Methodology

114 women aged 45-65 took either collagen peptides or placebo daily for 8 weeks in a double-blind study. Researchers measured wrinkles objectively at multiple timepoints and analyzed skin samples to track what was actually happening under the surface.
