In a 12-week study of 93 women aged 35-55, a moisturizer with palmitoyl pentapeptide (pal-KTTKS) showed measurable improvements in wrinkles and fine lines compared to plain moisturizer alone. Both technical measurements and expert reviewers saw significant reduction in wrinkles, and users also reported improvements in fine lines.
Researchers gave 93 Caucasian women either a regular moisturizer or the same moisturizer spiked with palmitoyl pentapeptide. They tested one side of each person's face against the other for 12 weeks in a double-blind, placebo-controlled setup.
